About the system

Pakistan Drought Intelligent System (PDIS)

The Pakistan Drought Intelligent System is developed by Dr Akif Rahim.

Pakistan Drought Intelligent System (PDIS), a drought monitoring and forecasting framework developed to support more effective and timely drought assessment, early warning, and decision-making in Pakistan. PDIS integrates multiple hydro-climatic indicators and modelling approaches to monitor drought development and provide information for drought forecasting and early alerts.

The system is designed to improve the understanding of drought onset, persistence, and severity and to support stakeholders in taking timely measures for drought preparedness and risk reduction.
